Home Inspection Service
A purpose of a home inspection is to inform you of any defects with the potential property you are purchasing. This non-invasive examination of the condition of a home, inside & out including the structure & mechanicals, will give you insight into the property. In addition of finding any defects, we will help educate you on how your property functions, and what to expect with maintaining your property in the future. Our goal is for you to know the property completely before you move in!
Radon In Air Testing
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive, colorless, odorless, & tasteless gas. Radon is all around us, and we are exposed to it every day. However, being exposed to radon in high concentration levels over a prolonged period of time has been known to cause adverse health issues and various forms of cancer. Testing is the only way to know your home’s radon levels. There are no immediate symptoms that will alert you to the presence of radon. It typically takes years of exposure before any problems surface.
Radon in Well Water Testing
Radon can also be stored in high concentrations in water storage solutions, such as private wells. The radon in a well becomes problematic when being discharged through faucets throughout the home, such as through the bathroom/kitchen sinks or shower/bath systems. Once the water is "aerated" the radon gas becomes airborne and breathable. Testing is the only way to know your home’s radon levels in the private well system.
Water Potability Testing
If you have a private water source, such as a well, there are no public services monitoring the water quality making sure it's safe to drink. If the property has a private well water source, it is very important to check if the water is safe to drink. Various exterior and environmental factors can alter the quality of the water that is entering the home. A water potability test analyses the mineral levels & water hardness and detects the presence of coliform, e coli, and bacteria.
Lead In Water Test
A lead in water test measures any detectable amount of lead in your drinking water, whether private water or a public water source.
Well Water Flow & Pressure Test
The integrity of any well can vary depending on the age of the system, location of the property, time of year, and geological changes that happen over time. All important reasons to have a well flow & pressure test. This test will make sure that the well can sustain itself over an hour of heavier usage, while maintaining an acceptable water flow and pressure throughout the test. Many times this test can reveal potential issues with the well flow or capacity.
